Did you know that August is Appendix Cancer Awareness Month? Also known as appendiceal cancer, this rare cancer can be challenging to diagnose in earlier stages because it often does not cause any symptoms until later on. These symptoms include: pain, bloating, an abdominal mass, nausea, vomiting, and fullness soon after eating. Oftentimes, appendiceal cancer is found when someone is believed to have appendicitis.
